LeftHand SANs: A New Approach to Storage

LeftHand iSCSI SANs are composed of multiple storage nodes, clustered together into a single storage system. Each node contains all of the elements of a complete storage system:
  • Industry Standard Hardware, including network ports, cache, RAM, processor and storage controller
  • Embedded Virtualization (to enable storage clustering)
  • Built-In Enterprise-Class Storage Management Feature Set

Whenever you add a new storage node, its resources are aggregated into and load balanced across the whole storage system. In other words, every time you add a storage node, you increase the capacity, I/O, and bandwidth of the entire SAN. And you can add storage nodes while the system is online, with no disruption to your SAN. This new approach to storage eliminates performance and capacity limitations of traditional storage systems, reduces up-front system costs and simplifies storage management.

Physical and Virtual SANs

Build a LeftHand SAN using integrated storage systems at your data center and deploy virtual storage systems to extend the SAN to your remote and branch offices for corporate-wide, cost-effective data availability and protection.
